Hep Alien is Lane Kim's band. Originally it was formed with Dave Rygalski (guitar), Brian (bass), Zack (guitar), and Lane (drums). Later, when Dave leaves for college in California, Gil is chosen as his replacement. The band's first gig is at a house party, where they play cover tunes. Though the band breaks up when Lane and Zack break up, they get back together a few months later, and pursue their steady climb to minor success, with a profitable tour (of Seventh Day Adventists churches) to its credit.
