Hep Alien is a fictional band on Gilmore Girls. It is originally formed in Stars Hollow in 2002.
Story[]
Lane Kim's band. Originally it was formed with Dave Rygalski (guitar), Brian Fuller (bass), Zack Van Gerbig (guitar), and Lane Kim (drums). Later, when Dave leaves for college in California, Gil is chosen as his replacement.
The band's first gig is at a house party at Kyle's house, where they play cover tunes. Though the band breaks up when Lane and Zack break up, they get back together a few months later and pursue their steady climb to minor success, with a profitable tour (of Seventh Day Adventists churches) to its credit.

- The band name is an anagram of Helen Pai, who is show producer Amy Sherman-Palladino's best friend.
